From the ground up
Only four months before the 2024 Canadian Steel Bridge Competition, a handful of determined students came together with one ambitious goal: to represent UBC Okanagan with its first ever Steel Bridge.

Our Timeline
February 2024
First Iterations
A few passionate students worked day and night to create, fabricate and finalize a bridge within 3 months
May 2024
First Competition
UBC Okanagan's Steel Bridge Design Team's first time competing at CNSBC in Laval, Quebec.
September 2024
First Official Team
UBCO's First official steel bridge team was created and designs were underway
January 2025
Second Iterations
Iterations for the second bridge were underway and almost ready for fabircation
May 2025
